What data does Backline read?
- Sales: item, quantity, value, outlet, hour and channel, from your POS
- Staff: rostered shifts, hours and wage cost, from your roster or payroll system
- Stock: stock levels, usage, unit costs and supplier details, from your inventory system
- Delivery: orders and your commission rates per platform
- Service speed: order-to-serve times by hour
- Customers: customer visit records, where you choose to provide them
- Settings you enter: targets, rent terms and fixed costs
Can Backline change anything in my POS?
No. Backline’s access to your POS is read-only. It can’t change prices, menus, rosters or orders.
Does Backline send anything on my behalf?
No. Backline drafts. You decide. Roster notes and supplier RFQs are drafts you copy and send yourself. Nothing is sent or changed without your approval.
How do I know how fresh the data is?
Every screen shows when its data was last updated, whether it arrived through a real-time API or a scheduled export.
